Blu-ray produljene verzije Gospodara Prstenova službeno najavljene

Warner Home Video je potvrdio ranije izvještaje i na radost mnogih službeno potvrdio dolazak kompletne trilogije Gospodara Prstenova u produljenoj inačici za 28. lipnja 2011. Kolekcija će se isporučivati u luksuznom boxset pakiranju s ukupno 15 diskova (6 BD i 9 DVD) po preporučljivoj maloprodajnoj cijeni od $119.98, odnosno nešto više od 600 kuna. Kao i kod DVD inačice, tako je i ovdje svaki film podijeljen na dva diska, što je odmah izazvalo negodovanje dijela publike, no 50GB prostora na Blu-ray disku nije dovoljno za količinu sadržaja koja će se isporučivati uz svaki disk, uz dodatnih 9 DVD-a s dodatnim sadržajima. Mimo broja diskova, pozitivno je kako je prvi nastavak, Prstenova Družina, nanovo remasterirana iz originalnih 2k datoteka obzirom da je kino verzija patila od suviše mekane slike, izazvane preintenzivnim sustavom za redukciju smetnji tokom transfera. Druga dva nastavka su zadržala istovjetnu kvalitetu. Diskovi će također sadržavati i BD-Live interaktivne servise. Detalje o pojedinim diskovima donosimo u nastavku, kako prenosi Bluray.com.
